A Toledo man was found guilty Wednesday of using the Web site backpage.com to solicit customers for underage prostitutes then taking the girls to a South Toledo motel to have sex.

Brady D. Jackson, 27, was convicted of two counts of sex trafficking of children following a three-day jury trial in U.S. District Court in Toledo. Judge David Katz did not schedule a sentencing date.

“This verdict is another stark reminder that human trafficking hides in plain sight,” Steven Dettelbach, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, said in a news release. “This defendant forced these girls into the commercial sex industry for the sole purpose of profiting off them.”

Jackson advertised on backpage.com in September, 2011, that the 15 and 16-year-old girls were available for prostitution. He told the girls he would take all the money they earned but would take them shopping and get their hair and nails done.
