A juror who is hearing the case of two men charged with a 1-year-old's death at Moody Manor apartments was removed from the case in Lucas County Common Pleas Court today.

The juror was replaced with an alternate after it became known that she knew witness Demetria Johnson, the stepmother of James Moore, who is a co-defendant in the shooting death of Keondra Hooks. Ms. Johnson was on the stand Wednesday.

Mr. Moore, 21, of 2037 W. Terrace View St. is not on trial in the case as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Gunfire on Aug. 9 struck Keondra and wounded her sister, Leondra Hooks, 2.

Keshawn Jennings, 21, and Antwaine Jones, 19, both of Toledo, are on trial for the shootings.
