A pretrial hearing date for Angela Steinfurth, the mother of a missing East Toledo toddler, was rescheduled today.

Ms. Steinfurth, 25, who is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond for obstructing justice, is now scheduled to appear in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on Aug. 14.

Also today, Terry Steinfurth, Sr., the grandfather of missing Elaina Steinfurth, said he still has hope that the girl will be returned safely to family.

Elaina was 18 months old when she was reportedly last seen June 2 at a home in the 700 block of Federal Street, in East Toledo, where Ms. Steinfurth had stayed with her estranged boyfriend, Steven King II, 23.

Mr. King, of 704 Federal, who is also charged with obstructing justice, is being held in the jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Mr. Steinfurth said another vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Leonard and Federal streets.

Volunteers today were planning on hanging up new fliers and replacing ones worn by the elements.

Anyone with information leading to Elaina’s whereabouts could be eligible for a $10,000 reward. Report tips to 1-800-225-5324.
