A Holland man has been sentenced to a total of six years and two months in prison for a Feb. 3 incident in which he fled from police then tried to ram a police cruiser.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Linda Jennings last week also suspended the driver’s license of Bryon L. Hageman, 43, for seven years.

Hageman pleaded guilty in May to felonious assault and attempted failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer for the incident which occurred on Holland-Sylvania Road near South Avenue when a state trooper attempted to stop him for reckless driving.
