A Toledo man who threatened to go on a U.S. killing spree was placed on community control for five years Tuesday.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Dean Mandros also ordered Darrell Robinson, 42, of 1777 Hamilton St., to take his prescribed medications and participate in the mentally disordered offenders program operated by the Lucas County Adult Probation Department.

Robinson pleaded no contest and was found guilty of making a terroristic threat this month. After he was denied Social Security disability benefits, he sent a letter to the Social Security Administration in Toledo on March 27, saying voices in his head were telling him to kill people.
