Fostoria man pleads guilty in fatal DUI crash

TIFFIN — A Fostoria man pleaded guilty in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Wednesday to aggravated vehicular homicide for causing the death of a 9-year-old boy.

George R. Tucker, 74, waived his right to have his case presented to a grand jury and instead entered the plea to the third-degree felony.

County Prosecutor Derek DeVine said speed and alcohol both were factors in the Nov. 15 crash in which Tucker’s pickup truck struck Marvin K. Hamilton.

Tucker, who was released on his own recognizance, faces up to five years in prison. No sentencing date has been set.
