Two men accused of hiding in an Internet cafe until it closed, cracking open a safe, and stealing thousands of dollars are being held in the Lucas County jail awaiting their next court date.

Johnny Dean, 23, of 725 Colburn St. and Joseph Soto, 25, of 838 Avalon Rd., Waterville, are charged with burglary, theft, and safecracking.

Their bonds were each set at $45,000 Tuesday in Toledo Municipal Court, court officials said.

According to court records, at least two people allegedly snuck into Cyber City Internet Cafe, 2531 S. Reynolds Rd., through a back door on Aug. 4 and hid inside until closing.

Once the gaming business was empty, authorities said the two pried open a lock box and stole $3,700.

The suspects are scheduled to return to court Sept. 4.
