Jury seated as local man faces trial in wife’s death

A jury of seven women and five men was seated Tuesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to hear the case of a Toledo man charged in the death of his estranged wife.

Robert F. Carter, 44, of 1143 Belmont Ave. is charged with aggravated murder in the Dec. 24 shooting death of Wendabi Triplett, 41, who was shot in the 4400 block of Terrace View Street as she got out of her vehicle.

The trial is scheduled to resume at 8:30 a.m. today.
