Toledo woman pleads guilty to sex trafficking

A Toledo woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court to a federal sex trafficking charge for taking a teenaged girl from Ohio to Michigan to engage in sexual activity for hire.

Amber Ginter, 35, is to be sentenced Jan. 13 by Judge James Carr on the single count of transporting a minor with intent that the minor engage in criminal sexual activity. The incident occurred in December, 2009.

Ginter, who entered her plea before Magistrate Judge Vernelis Armstrong, was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
