A convicted sex offender who recently moved to Toledo was arrested Sunday after failing to register his address with any law enforcement agency for almost four months.

Jason Solomon, 55, is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond. Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Hodge filed an affidavit for his arrest on Sept. 26.

Solomon, classified as a sexually violent predator, is required to register his address every 90 days.

According to an affidavit, Solomon has been living in Toledo since at least Sept. 12. He was arrested in the 500 block of Nevada Street.

Solomon was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a 1982 conviction in Miami on a charge of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a child younger than 12 years old.

In 1988, he was charged with a lewd and lascivious sex act of a child younger than 16, which resulted in a 15-year sentence.

In 2008, Solomon was convicted of failure to register in Florida and spent another year in prison.
