Nurse sentenced for stealing drugs

A registered nurse charged with stealing drugs from her former employer was placed on community control for two years Wednesday.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Linda Jennings also ordered that Andrea Young, 38, of 3210 N. Reach Dr., Oregon, continue drug treatment and ingest no drugs or alcohol.

Ms. Young pleaded guilty last month to theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, for stealing prescription medication between Nov. 1, 2012 and Jan. 8 from Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, where she worked.
