B.G. mom pleads guilty to role in infant son's death

    BOWLING GREEN – The mother of a 3-month-old boy who died last year pleaded guilty today to endangering children.

    Rebecca Steinmiller, 26, of Bowling Green, is to be sentenced Jan. 28 by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Robert Pollex.

    She had been charged with failing to seek medical care or alert authorities when she knew her infant son, Carter, had a broken arm. Carter died May 5, 2012.

    The child’s father, Brian Steinmiller, 32, of Bowling Green pleaded guilty Sept. 18 to involuntary manslaughter and two counts of endangering children for causing the injuries that led to the child’s death. He is to be sentenced Nov. 22.
