A woman who admitted to committing federal tax fraud won’t be fined, but will have to pay $35,497 in restitution and undergo three years probation.

The sentence against Shereece Coffey, 30, of Toledo was issued Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey Helmick, who also ordered her to pay a $700 special assessment to the court for costs.

Coffey pleaded guilty in June of filing false claims to get federal tax refunds from the Internal Revenue Service between 2009 and 2011, sharing proceeds totaling $179,750 among herself and three other women. The four women were indicted in January, and are in various stages of prosecution.
