Tiffin man arraigned in Carey shooting deaths

UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio — A Tiffin-area man was arraigned on five counts related to the shooting deaths of two people at the Carey Conservation Sportsman Association.

Earlier this month, Richard L. Clark, Jr., 65, of rural Tiffin allegedly shot Roger Fredritz, 49, of rural Carey and Cynthia Hawkinberry, also 49, of rural Tiffin.

He pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court to three counts of aggravated murder, a kidnapping count, and a felonious assault count.

Mr. Clark was being held on $2 million bond.
