Toledo man, 22, arraigned for September shooting

Jones charged with felonious assault

A Toledo man accused in a September shooting was arraigned today.

Jeremiah "Bud" Jones, 22, of 1106 Waverly Ave., is charged with felonious assault.

During arraignment today in Toledo Municipal Court he was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Police allege that Jones shot Vercell Carter, 26, on Sept. 21 at 924 Woodstock Ave. in the central city.

Carter was shot in his left leg -- the bullet passed through his lower leg and broke a bone, according to court records.

Jones is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 22.
