Trial of mother charged in son’s death delayed

With issues remaining over some witnesses and evidence, the trial of a Toledo woman charged in the death of her infant son was delayed Friday until next month.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Frederick McDonald rescheduled the trial of Amanda Bacon, 26, of 504 W. Alexis Rd. for Feb. 21.

Ms. Bacon is charged with aggravated murder and endangering children in the December, 2012, death of her 6-month-old son, Avery Glenn Bacon.

An autopsy showed the boy died as a result of multiple skull fractures and brain injuries.
