Woman gets prison for hiring arsonist

A Toledo woman who hired someone to set fire to a central-city home was sentenced Friday to two years in prison, while her father was placed on community control for three years for his role.

Savannah Bibbs, 22, of 812 Heston St. pleaded no contest last week to complicity to commit arson for conspiring with her father, Stephen Gibbs, 40, of 4 Charlevoix Ct. to hire a man to set fire to 624 Pinewood Ave., a home owned by her grandmother, where Bibbs lived. Malcolm Richardson, 50, of 105 17th St. is charged with arson for setting the Sept. 29 fire.
