A Sylvania Township man remained lodged in the Lucas County jail on Friday night, charged with robbing a West Toledo convenience store and accused in a Lambertville credit union robbery.

Brandon Goss, 27, of 5878 Artwell Dr. was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on a single aggravated robbery charge for a Monday holdup at In & Out Mart, 5830 Douglas Rd. His bond was set at $100,000 pending his next court appearance Monday.

The bank robbery at Education Plus Credit Union, 3558 Sterns Rd., in Monroe County was reported to the sheriff's office there on Wednesday.

Mr. Goss has been identified as a suspect in that robbery based on a photograph distributed to the media by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

When he was arrested Thursday morning on an unrelated burglary charge from Sylvania Township, authorities found “a large sum of money” during a search that was determined to have come from the credit union. Officers said they later found other, undisclosed evidence at Mr. Goss' home.

Monroe County officials said they intend to file armed robbery charges against Mr. Goss. He will have to be extradited to Michigan for court proceedings there.
