NORWALK, Ohio — A Massillon, Ohio, man who was intoxicated when he smashed into the back of a car, killing a Bellevue, Ohio woman, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison.
Huron County Common Pleas Judge James Conway also gave Morgan Jevec, 24, a lifetime driver’s license suspension and ordered him to pay $1.3 million in medical bills for the passengers in his car who were injured.
Jevec pleaded guilty last month to aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, two counts of vehicular assault, and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer for a Sept. 17 crash on U.S. 20 in Bellevue that killed Tracy Albright, 36, and injured Christopher Watters, 48, and Ricky Treherne, Jr., 32, both of Canton.
“It was pretty horrible,” said Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler.
