Hit-skip suspect indicted by grand jury

A motorist charged in a hit-skip collision last month was indicted Tuesday by a Lucas County grand jury for failure to stop after an accident.

Derrick Gulch, 25, of 4234 Asbury Dr. was believed to have been southbound on North Detroit Avenue on Feb. 21 when he allegedly struck Theressea James, 26, of Toledo, who was walking along Detroit near Willamont Road.

Police allege he left the scene but was later located after a caller provided a description and license-plate number of his pickup truck.
