A former inmate at Toledo Correctional Institution who spit at a corrections officer there was sentenced Tuesday to six months in prison, but it may mean no additional time behind bars.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart told Dustin Johnson, 30, that the sentence could be served concurrently to the lengthy prison sentence he is serving for unrelated crimes from Allen County. Johnson had pleaded guilty Feb. 24 to harassment with a bodily substance.
