A Toledo Correctional Institution inmate who admitted to accepting illegal drugs from his mother when she visited him has been sentenced to two years in prison, although it will not add any time to the sentence he already is serving.

Zachary Redfern, 21, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, had pleaded guilty to complicity to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified government facility. Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart on Tuesday ordered his sentence be concurrent to the six-year term he’s serving for theft and burglary.

His mother, Ann Goode, 42, was sentenced last month to 90 days in jail and placed on community control for four years after she pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs.
