A Toledo man charged in a central city shooting pleaded guilty Monday to carrying a concealed weapon and three drug charges.

Trentant Dotson, 21, of 1739 W. Sylvania Ave., is to be sentenced June 10 by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Ruth Ann Franks on the weapon charge as well as trafficking in cocaine and two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Charges of felonious assault, improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, and participating in a criminal gang were dismissed with the right to refile at a later date after prosecutors said the victim in the shooting, Kevion Jones, 16, and other witnesses refused to cooperate. Young Jones was shot three times at Page Street and Mayville Place on Nov. 29.
