Killer’s mom convicted of attempted bribery

The mother of convicted murderer Quincy Allen was convicted Tuesday of attempting to bribe a witness in her son’s robbery case.

Lashasha Allen, 40,of 4858 S. Village Dr., pleaded no contest to attempted obstructing justice, a first-degree misdemeanor, before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Stacy Cook, who then placed Ms. Allen on probation for a year.

Ms. Allen had been indicted for bribery, a third-degree felony, for allegedly offering $100 on May 16, 2013, to a man expected to be called as a witness in an aggravated robbery case pending at the time against her son.

In March, Quincy Allen, 22, was convicted of robbery as well as murder and participating in a criminal gang for the April 19 death of La’Quan Dunbar, 20. He was sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 35 years.
