Two Toledo men admitted Monday that they committed a string of robberies and cashed forged checks during a two-week crime spree in February.

Anthony Fesh, 32, and Dustin Werner, 25, both of 2555 Castleton Ave., are to be sentenced May 28 by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda. Werner pleaded guilty to five counts of robbery and three counts of forgery, while Fesh pleaded guilty to four counts of complicity to robbery and two counts of forgery.

Werner told the court he went into the Tan Pro on Laskey Road, Tan Pro on Secor Road, the UPS Store on Executive Parkway, the Dairy Queen on Monroe Street, and Apricato on Talmadge Road over three days in February, and in each case placed a note on the counter demanding money.

Fesh said he drove the get-away car and shared in the profits from the hold-ups.
