of his housemate, 51

A Toledo man charged with beating his housemate to death then leaving his body on a railroad track was indicted Tuesday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Lecorius Reynolds, 34, of 129 Dale St., was indicted on alternate counts of murder for the May 2 death of Roy H. Roberts, 51, of the same address.

According to court records, Mr. Reynolds told police he used his hands to hit Mr. Roberts at the house and then dragged the body to the nearby Norfolk Southern tracks just north of the Anthony Wayne Trail. A train struck the victim about 9 p.m. An autopsy showed the fatal blunt-force injury occurred before a train hit him.
