Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart ordered Tuesday that a Toledo man accused of beating his housemate to death then placing his body on a railroad track undergo an evaluation to determine whether he’s competent to stand trial.

Lecorius Reynolds, 34, of 129 Dale St., was in court for arraignment but the judge delayed the proceeding until Mr. Reynolds undergoes a psychiatric exam. He is charged with alternate counts of murder for the May 2 death of Roy H. Roberts, 51, of the same address.

An autopsy determined that the victim died from blunt-force injuries that occurred before his body was struck by a train on the Norfolk Southern tracks just north of the Anthony Wayne Trail.
