TIFFIN — A rural Bellevue, Ohio, man was sentenced Wednesday to 17 years in prison after he was convicted on two counts of felonious assault, abduction, and aggravated arson.
Lloyd Hicks, 73, was convicted by a Seneca County Common Pleas jury on Tuesday for charges related to a September incident at his home, according to a news release from county Prosecuting Attorney Derek DeVine.
Authorities said he assaulted his wife, burned down his house, and fired a gun at a deputy who responded to the scene.
Police officers were not injured.
Judge Steve Shuff imposed the prison term.
