A University of Toledo Medical Center physician who pulled out in front of a motorcyclist, killing him, was found guilty today of vehicular manslaughter by Toledo Municipal Court Judge Timothy Kuhlman.
Dr. Nabil Ebraheim, 63, of 2935 Valley View Dr., was then fined $750 and ordered to complete a defensive driving course and attend a victim impact panel. His driver’s license was suspended for a year although he was given privileges to drive to work.
Dr. Ebraheim was southbound on Richards Road early on the morning of Aug. 30 when he pulled into the intersection of Dorr Street into the path of eastbound motorcyclist Lawrence J. Hilton, 54, of Swanton.
After a day of testimony, Judge Kuhlman said that while the collision was an accident, a reasonable person should have seen Mr. Hilton approaching.
