A judge set bond at $800,000 Wednesday for a Toledo man charged in connection with a string of convenience store robberies.

DeJuan Willingham, 25, of 434 Southgate Circle Dr., pleaded not guilty before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Michael Goulding to 10 counts of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications, two counts of felonious assault, and three counts of kidnapping.

Lindsay Navarre, an assistant Lucas County prosecutor, requested the high bond, citing the serious nature of the charges against Willingham and his criminal history.

Judge Goulding ordered that Willingham have no contact with co-defendants Leroy Alcorn, 24, and Ieasha Bates, 23.

While Mr. Alcorn remains at large, Ms. Bates pleaded not guilty Wednesday to one count of aggravated robbery with a firearm specification and one count of obstructing justice.

Her bond was set at $75,000, and a pretrial hearing for both Willingham and Ms. Bates was scheduled for July 14.
