Man accused of shooting dog faces many charges

A Toledo man who allegedly shot a German shepherd in East Toledo pleaded not guilty Wednesday to felony weapons charges.

Marcus Crawford, 26, of 3324 Blackstone Dr., is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons under disability. Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda set bond at $75,000.

Crawford, who is being held in the Lucas County jail, also is charged in Toledo Municipal Court with a long list of misdemeanors, including cruelty to animals for the nonfatal shooting of a dog outside a Clark Street home March 24.
