A former Start High School student who took a gun to school was found guilty of two felony charges today.

Willie Carter III, 19, of 1928 Brame Pl., pleaded guilty to having a weapon while under disability and entered an Alford plea to trafficking in marijuana before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Ruth Ann Franks.

Carter admitted he took a loaded .45-caliber pistol to Start on April 28. Police also found seven small bags of marijuana in his possession at the school. He was subsequently expelled.

Carter faces up to 54 months in prison when he is sentenced later this month.
