Men plead not guilty in death of Point Place resident, 30

    Three Toledo men charged in the fatal stabbing of a Point Place man entered not guilty pleas Thursday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

    Judge Ruth Ann Franks set bond at $1.5 million for John Haugh, 38, of 5048 Tappan Ave., who is charged with aggravated murder and murder in the May 23 death of Thomas Przybysz, 30, outside his home in the 4600 block of 283rd Street.

    Attorney Gretchen DeBacker was appointed to represent Haugh, who police allege stabbed the victim. His trial was scheduled for Sept. 15.

    Also arraigned were two men charged with murder for allegedly organizing and planning the fatal attack.

    Judge Franks set bond at $1 million for both Scott Warnka, 30, of 2901 117th St., and Roy Cerveny, 30, of 3224 138th St. 

    Trial dates of Sept. 22 were set for Cerveny and Sept. 29 for Warnka.
