Desirae Strauss, 34, of 2140 Consaul St. was arrested July 8 in Anderson, Ind., on a parole violation.

Her husband, Robert Strauss, 34, also charged with murder in the death of Brian Martin, was also arrested by Anderson police the same day for false informing.

Police allege that the couple bludgeoned Mr. Martin on June 22 inside their home.

Family of the slain man said Desirae Strauss in April gave birth to twins of whom Mr. Martin believed he could be the father, and the married couple refused to cooperate with his demand for a paternity test.

Mr. Martin’s body has not been found, but police have described finding extensive forensic evidence indicating an attack at the home. The body is believed to have been dumped somewhere between Toledo and Anderson, which is about 35 miles northeast of Indianapolis along I-69.

Mrs. Strauss was booked into the Lucas County jail Friday.

Mr. Strauss remained in the Madison County, Indiana, jail Friday in lieu of $80,000 bond and pending extradition to Ohio.
