A Toledo mom pleaded not guilty in Toledo Municipal Court today after she was arrested for allegedly locking her four children inside a car while she grocery shopped.

Latasha Flowers, 35, of 833 Page St., is charged with one count of child endangering. She was ordered to be released from the Lucas County jail on her own recognizance.

According to court records, Ms. Flowers left her four children inside her vehicle for about 20 minutes while she shopped inside the Miracle Mile Kroger, 4925 Jackman Rd., on Friday afternoon. Police noted that the temperature at the time was 81 degrees.

The incident was not reported to Lucas County Children Services, said agency spokesman Julie Malkin.
