A South Toledo man who had been charged with selling drugs that caused a Perrysburg man’s fatal overdose pleaded no contest Thursday to trafficking in controlled substance analog.

Dana King, 28, of the 1100 block of Eton Road was found guilty by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda who scheduled sentencing for Dec. 28.

King was indicted on a second-degree felony charge of corrupting another with drugs for the death in September of Nicholas Rothenbuhler, 20, but that charge was dismissed Dec. 7. Brian Boos, an assistant county prosecutor, had asked the court to dismiss the charge without prejudice – meaning it could be re-filed at a later date – “to allow for follow-up investigation.”
