A South Toledo man who shot his child's mother while the child was in the car pleaded guilty Wednesday to felonious assault with a firearm specification and endangering children.

William Price, 19, of the 3200 block of Glanzman Road is to be sentenced Jan. 9 by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart.

Price admitted he got into an argument Aug. 13 with his child's mother and pulled out a handgun. When she jumped out of the car, he fired the gun, wounding her. Price then fled with the child in the car.

Price, who also pleaded guilty to bribery, admitted he called his sister after the incident and asked her to offer the victim money and custody of their child if she refused to cooperate with the investigation.

Jasmine Price, 22, pleaded guilty to obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor, for contacting the victim as her brother asked her to do. She is to be sentenced Jan. 23.
