Clyde man pleads guilty to armed robbery of pharmacy

PORT CLINTON — One of two men charged with robbing the pharmacy at Magruder Hospital at gunpoint pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated robbery.

Joshua Trapp, 35, of Clyde, Ohio, is to be sentenced July 26 by Ottawa County Common Pleas Judge Bruce Winters, who accepted his plea.

Trapp and Clark Sams, Sr., 46, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, were charged in a holdup at the hospital pharmacy Feb. 6 in which a man dressed all in camouflage walked in, pointed a semiautomatic pistol at employees, demanded prescription opiates, and fled with a backpack full of pills.

Mr. Sams is set for trial June 19.
