Call her a winner, definitely. Carly Rae Jepsen has won the top Junos at the 42nd annual Canadian music awards ceremony in Regina, Saskatchewan, including Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year, and Single of the Year for her smash hit “Call Me Maybe.”

Jepsen seemed stunned during Sunday’s awards show that her gold-selling album “Kiss” beat out teen-pop sensation Justin Bieber and Celine Dion. However, Bieber did take home his fourth career Juno for Fan Choice Award.

Leonard Cohen won his second Juno of the year — the fifth of his career — for Songwriter of the Year for his album “Old Ideas.”

Vancouver pop outfit Marianas Trench won Group of the Year for their record “Ever After.” Classic rockers Monster Truck won Breakthrough Group of the Year.

Billboard finalists

It’s a three-way tie: Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and fun. are finalists in 11 categories at the Billboard Music Awards.

Billboard announced the finalists Monday. Rihanna, Carly Rae Jepsen, and One Direction are up for 10, nine, and eight trophies, respectively.

Swift, Maroon 5, Rihanna, One Direction, and Justin Bieber will compete for the top artist award. Adele’s 10-million selling 2011 album, “21,” won top Billboard 200 album last year and is up for the award this year. It’ll battle Swift’s “Red,” Mumford & Sons’ “Babel” as well as One Direction’s albums — “Up All Night” and “Take Me Home” — both released last year.

The Billboard Music Awards will air live May 19 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on ABC.

‘Deeply embarrassed’

A court hearing on a disorderly conduct charge has been rescheduled for actress Reese Witherspoon, who said she’s “deeply embarrassed” by what she said to a state trooper during a traffic stop in Atlanta.

Witherspoon’s case was scheduled for a Monday morning hearing, but it was reset for May 22. She was arrested Friday.

The Oscar-winning actress released a statement late Sunday apologizing for her behavior when her husband, Hollywood agent Jim Toth, was arrested and accused of driving under the influence of alcohol.

A state trooper’s report says she told the trooper: “Do you know my name?” The report states she also said: “You’re about to find out who I am.”

The actress didn’t appear in court Monday. She was in New York on Sunday night.

Quick-witted

Putting a new test to the adage that brevity is the soul of wit, Comedy Central is partnering with Twitter for a comedy festival played out in 140 characters and 6-second videos.

The Viacom Inc.-owned network said Sunday that the festival with the hashtag “ComedyFest” will debut April 29. Over five days, comedians will tweet jokes and post videos with the recently launched video app Vine, which limits footage to 6 seconds.

Daft Punk has set a record on Spotify.

The music service says the French electronic duo’s song “Get Lucky” had the biggest streaming day for a single track on Friday in the United States and the United Kingdom. Spotify wouldn’t release the number of streams.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” previously held the record for most streams in a day in the United States. British band Bastille had the title in the United Kingdom with the song “Pompeii.”

Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” features rapper-producer Pharrell. It’s the first single from the group’s fourth album, “Random Access Memories,” due out May 21.

End of the road

Glen Campbell’s Alzheimer’s disease has progressed too far to allow him to continue touring.

Instead, he planned to spend his 77th birthday on Monday in Washington as an advocate for Alzheimer’s research, including a fund-raising dinner for the Alzheimer’s Association and a visit to Capitol Hill.

Alzheimer’s has robbed Campbell of many memories, gained over a lifetime as an entertainment icon: pop star, groundbreaking session musician, actor, and TV variety show host. But it hasn’t taken everything.

Campbell will release a new album, “See You There,” on July 30. It’s a reimagining of some of his most popular songs, recorded by Julian Raymond during the same sessions that produced Campbell’s last studio album of all new material, 2011’s “Ghost on the Canvas.” The album offers new versions of his biggest hits.
