Holiday Schedules

What's closed and what's open during Memorial Day

Toledo, county, state, and federal government offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle deputy registrar sites across the state will be closed as well.

A list of select businesses and services follows:

Schools
Public and parochial schools and area colleges and universities will have no classes.

Public utilities
Toledo’s Department of Public Utilities will be closed Monday, as will Toledo Edison and its parent company, FirstEnergy, and Columbia Gas; emergency services will be available.

Retail centers
Westfield Franklin Park and The Shops at Fallen Timbers will have normal hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Town Center at Levis Commons hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Libraries
Toledo-Lucas County Public Library branches will be closed Sunday and Monday.

Mail service
Post offices are closed; no mail will be delivered.

Bus service
TARTA buses will operate on a holiday schedule.

Trash pickup
Trash pickup will be delayed one day in Toledo. Collection services in other communities vary.

Parking
Meter parking will be free downtown.
