Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 7/06

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $50 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed July 2 and 3 by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

Collie, orange and black male, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because of poor quality of life (severe muscle wasting and weakness in dog’s hindquarters), Chase Street, Toledo, running at large.

“Pit bull,” brown and white female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (severe hip problems), surrendered by Gay Zeitler, Colton Street, Toledo.

St. Bernard mix, brown and white male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (ill, suffering), surrendered by Rae Meyers, Willow Run Drive, Toledo.

Labrador mix, black and white female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (age-related illnesses), surrendered by Janet O’Connor, Berkshire Place, Toledo.

German shepherd/chow chow mix, tan and black male, unlicensed, aggressive/unsafe, Rivercrest Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Labrador retriever/“pit bull” mix, brown and white female, unlicensed stray, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression, Jackman Road, Toledo.

Labrador retriever, black female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression, King Road, Sylvania Township, running at large.

 

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred July 3 to Planned Pethood and You Lucky Dog and July 5 to the Toledo Area Humane Society by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Doberman pinscher mix, black and orange female, Fern Drive, Toledo, running at large.

Beagle/“pit bull” mix, orange and white female, Yondota Street, Toledo, running at large.

Chihuahua mix, white and black female, stray, Cherry Street, Toledo.
