Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 7/10

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $50 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed July 5 and 6 by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

Cairn terrier mix, black and tan male, unlicensed, stray, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because of poor quality of life (hit by car, badly injured), Nevada Street, Toledo.

Chow chow mix, black and brown female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because of poor quality of life (dog in severe shape, embedded collar), also fearful/ aggressive, surrendered by Lester Cunningham, Klondike Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and brown female, unlicensed, aggressive/ unsafe, Watson Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Chow chow, black male, unlicensed, stray, fearful/ unsafe, Indianwood Circle, Maumee.

German shepherd and Alaskan husky mix, orange and white male, licensed, owner requested euthanasia (age-related illnesses), surrendered by Barbara Maniak, Pinelawn Drive, Toledo.

Neapolitan mastiff, gray male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (had stroke, blind, age-related illnesses), surrendered by Donald Couture, Sabra Road, Toledo.

 

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred July 6 and 8 to Lucas County Pit Crew and Planned Pethood by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

“Pit bull” mix, black and white female, Valentine Street, running at large.

Scottish deerhound mix, brindle and orange male, Nevada Street, Toledo, running at large.
