Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 1-25

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed Jan. 22-23 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

American bulldog mix, black male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression, Telegraph Road, Toledo, running at large.

“Pit bull” mix, orange and white female, unlicensed, aggressive, 146th Street, Toledo, running at large.

Doberman pinscher, black and orange male, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (unable to stand or walk, possible spinal injury or degenerative disease), Franklin Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

American bulldog, brindle and white male, licensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression and bite history, surrendered by James Elliot, Vanderbilt Road, Toledo.

 

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred Jan. 24-25 to the Lucas County Pit Crew and LOYAL Rescue under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

“Pit bull” mix, red and white female, Peak Avenue, Toledo, stray.

Miniature pinscher, black and orange male, Pickle Road, Oregon, running at large.
