Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 4-17

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 15 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on April 14), Klondike Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

German shepherd mix, tan and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 4/5 on April 14), Prouty Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull” mix, orange and white female, unlicensed, fearful/unsafe, Isadore Lane, Sylvania, stray picked up by a control officer.

Coonhound mix, black and brown male, Angola Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Tibetan terrier, white female, Woodville Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Beagle, black and orange female, Fourth Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred April 15 to the Toledo Area Humane Society under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

German shepherd, brindle and white female, Stickney Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Labrador retriever, black and brindle male, Field Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

German shepherd, black and tan female, Cherry Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

German shepherd, black and tan male, Airport Highway, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Parson Russell terrier, white and tan female, Detroit Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
