Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 4/17

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Chihuahua mix, black and orange male, surrendered by Deborah Bracht, Vistamar Road, Toledo.

Boxer mix, white and brown female, surrendered by Hilary Kilgoar, Nicholas Street, Toledo.

American Eskimo dog, white and orange male, Polk Place, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Boxer/​Labrador retriever mix, white and brown female, Broadway Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Labrador retriever, tan female, White Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 15-16 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” black and white female, licensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on April 14), surrendered by Karla Koehler, Liberty Street, Tiffin.

“Pit bull” mix, tan and black male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on April 14), Summit Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Cane corso, gray male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on April 14), surrendered by Jesse Taylor, Heatherwyck Court, Toledo.

Boxer mix, tan and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​food guarder (scored 5 out of 5 on April 15), Hillcrest Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Cocker spaniel, black male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (large ulcerated mass on rear quarters), surrendered by Dave Bethany, East Bancroft Street, Toledo.
