Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed April 17-18 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” orange and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on April 17), Starr Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4/4 on April 17), Utah Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull” mix, black and white female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (dog had very large and hard mammary mass, overall muscle wasting, weak, very poor prognosis), Wyndhurst Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on April 17), Ottawa Park, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Labrador retriever mix, black and white male, Wyman Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Cocker spaniel/poodle mix, black and white male, Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, stray picked up by a control officer.
