Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 5-15

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed May 13 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Chow chow, tan and black female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (elderly, ulcerated tumor on mouth), surrendered by Brenda Taylor, Secor Road, Toledo.

German shepherd/chow chow mix, tan and black female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (elderly, arthritis, pain), surrendered by Paul Mayo, West 7th Street, Genoa.

Miniature pinscher mix, brown male, West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

German shepherd mix, tan and white female, Detroit Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
