Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed May 16 and 19 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 3 out of 4 on May 15), surrendered by Kimora Knight, Toronto Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and brown male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (bite history), surrendered by Rachael Pecina, Sunshine Street, Oregon.

 

Dogs adopted

Dogs adopted out May 18-19 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Doberman pinscher mix, black and brown male, surrendered by Dan and Anna Cahill, West Eighth Street, Perrysburg.

Three miniature poodles, two black and gray females, one black male, Brooke Park Drive, Toledo, picked up by a control officer when owner was hospitalized.

Beagle, white and black female, Laskey Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Boxer, tan and white female, Clover Lane, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
