Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 6-21

BLADE STAFF

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dog adopted out June 19 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Siberian husky, black and white female, Woodville Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Dogs killed June 18-19 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

 

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

 

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​body handling (scored 3 out of 4 on June 17), Hoiles Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

Boxer, tan and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4/​4 on June 17), B Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 3/​4 on June 18), Plymouth Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

“Pit bull,” orange and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 3/​4 on June 18), Douglas Road, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

Dogs transferred

Litter of five “pit bull” mix puppies, one white and orange male, one white and black male, one brindle and white male, one white and black female, one white and brown male, Greenwood Avenue, Toledo, strays brought to the shelter.
