Dogs killed July 3 and 5 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Boxer mix, fawn male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4/​4 on July 2), Berkshire Place, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” orange and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4/​4 on July 2), Buffalo Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Cocker spaniel, black and white male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (elderly, ill), surrendered by Michael Peer, Milroy Street, Toledo.

German shepherd, black and tan male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​food guarder (scored 5 out of 5 on July 2), Starr Avenue, Oregon, stray picked up by a control officer.

Chow chow/​Labrador retriever mix, tan male, unlicensed, fearful/​unsafe, surrendered by Joseph Boswell, Utah Street, Toledo.

 

Dog transferred

Dog transferred July 3 to the Toledo Area Humane Society under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:
